What was the highlight of Hotel de Mar Gran Meliá
Very nice hotel but the management doesn't seem to place much emphasis on guest safety.
The hotel is beautiful and the staff is excellent.
The ladder to climb out of the sea was dislodged from its place and fell into the rough sea while i was using it to get back on land. The incident, which resulted in several cuts and gashes in my hands and legs, was potentially life threatening but the hotel senior management never contacted me about it, nor did they take any corrective action. i was pulled out of the sea by other guests as no lifeguard was on duty for the sea, although the sea was rough that day.

Must go
Breakfast: phenomenal, view: excellent, staff: across the board phenomenal, Lucia was above and beyond (thank you for everything!), beach is not swimmable, but with the pool and the ameninites, is not an issue at all. Loved sitting by the pool and watching the waves crush into the rocks with beautiful city and sea views. The place is excellent.
Hard to find anything that we did not like, we had an amazing stay and hotel AND staff were amazing.

Wonderful
Beautiful beach and the view. Feeling very relaxed. Good massage
Strange policy for the hotel guests. Better table with the view for lunch - 50€ extra. Parking 25€ a day. For the breakfast you can’t take any table you want, there are zones. Very annoying to be honest. At the same time beach is not private and very strange people are coming from the outside.
